When you receive a mail from a guy for the first time , what specific thing makes you to respond him? or makes you won't respond him?
Is it the pic? the profile text? the mail text? what?

A lot of things, I can be a bit of a nerd, so if the message is full of typos, or if the person sounds clueless, sometimes I don't respond. For me, a gorgeous smile is a definite eye-catcher, though. =)

I like the eyes and the smile and then the text. Read thru the profile. You can pickup on little things there.

If they have a generic opening line, they usually don't get far unless they have a great pic along with it... then they have a better chance.

If they don't speak English well or spell very well, it tends to be a turn off... unless they're reeeally good looking, which gives them more of a chance.


Here's a few ways to get rejected:

*Say something offensive
*Be very unattractive
*Be self involved
*Make one sided statements that don't require a reply
*Give away your email address and/or phone number in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd email
*If you're a smoker, email someone who doesn't want a smoker
*Don't read their profile
*Be overly flirtacious
*Use pet names when you don't know them
*Be negative
*Take bad pictures of yourself, with none of them smiling or looking happy
*Use a very large vocabulary and have no clue how to spell

Content. Obviously I read the email first. If its well written and interesting, Ill respond without even checking out the profile. If its a little questionable, ill delve into the prof.

A good conversation turns me on more than any photo or cheesy line.

#1- Must have current pic. of self (Preferably without a woman’s boob or other body part in the pic.)

#2 Should say what prompted him to email me; perhaps a common interest, not just “hi” or “your hot”. * We can spot mass emails a mile away!

#3 Some type of attraction, either romantic or friendly.

I know, same here. It's like there's some kind of weird force field over this part of the country that destroys any local e-mail on this site.

You would think with that kind of technology, they could come up with some better cable TV channels or something.

i dont know about that...i've gotten a bunch of e-mails from people around me... its all in how he appoaches me..nothing else really plays a factor...i'll talk to anyone, any gender, and age...
