I have no travel tips ...... but I would so love to travel to Japan some day ! Anyone here ever been ? I have not personally been yet, but have a nephew who has lived there about 8 years now. He was in the Air Force and married a woman from there and they have a daughter. So if you need specifics, I could prolly get some answers.

Okinawa is a great place to go too.

if you're gonna go, be sure to go to Osaka, which is much cooler than Tokyo. there's all sorts of eateries, restaurants, and other food-related establishments there. The people there are much more boisterous than those from Tokyo too, who are often seen as rather stuffy.

I want to go to Japan someday. I know a little about the culture and language, most thanks to being a big anime fan. I do want to hit some of the historical spots and places like Akihabara.
I least know how to say few things and can partly read some kana, but might not be able to translate. Least the Katakana it is usually an English word written in Japanese. |

Although I have learn words at random but anime does help at times. |
