I don't hunt. I just don't understand why people get all excited over it. But I understand the necessity for hunting. And if thats what you enjoy by all means have fun and good luck.

my father put a gun in my hands when i was very young..i think about 10.
he wanted me to be an ardent hunter as i was a champion fisherman..
i rememebr we took careful cover..
and waited for such a long time before out prey was in range..
and with the patience of job..i took careful aim,and shot the doe..
but i hit her in a area that had taken her a long time to die..
we drank her blood as a ceremonial gesture..
but i remember looking in her eyes all the while...
it's been more then 30 years now and i still remember the feeling that i had,,my father never shown me how to hunt..all he showed me was how to be a coward..how to be evil..
the saddness that i felt that day has kept me from picking up another rifle ever again..

thanks mac...all though people have hunted sice the begining of time..
i just never saw the equality..the fairness of peoplekind where animals and ammunition is conserned...now to hunt a rino with..lets say with a peashooter, now that would be something..
im not knocking it..
my father hunts..my brother hunts..and this is a sport that is accepted as such..but for me..give me a shimano rod and reel..a boat..a bbq to cook the trouts..and a 6 pack for that noon day sun..and i found god:smile:

i have hunted before, Deer. I would still hunt if i need to. I feel that everyone needs to learn the skill because you never know when ya may need it. but that is my beliefe.
