Just need a bit of feedback on a current piece I'm working on. I've been uploading it to my DeviantArt site in stages and such as I've been working on it, so for those of you curious, you can check the progress...but I'm more wanting feedback on the current version rather than previous versions.

Current Version: http://scinn.deviantart.com/art/Working-Title-stage-4-76605327

It just looks like it's missing...something...I'm just not sure what ohwell

It feels disproportionate. As if the head is bigger than the body but its something you can fix with the shading I believe.

No prob.

I was curious if you did comic art as well( storyboarding, sequential art, etc.).
I'm a writer having problems finding people interested in doing art for some books I'm writing.
And if your not a comic artist do you know any?

I can :) You can browse through the rest of my gallery to get a sense of my style...you can send me a friend request and we can discuss the specifics of things. :)

to me it seems like the mouth pulls the eye to it to strongly. i think the colors are to bright around there,
overall the rest of it is good.

Yeah...part of that was the program I'm using...I just got Poser so still working out the tweeks with it, but I see what you're saying. Not much I can do about it with this piece but I'll deffinately keep it mind on the next one. Thanks :D

hummmmm think it is pretty good add long finger nails to it and maybe add a full moon in the back ground just my opinion with a bat flying across in front of the moon maybe tone down the blue just a shade but not much

but all in all I think its great bigsmile

Are you a computer artist? I'd say some dark clouds with lightning will make the picture really stand out...but I don't want you to put too much in the work. Looks good. I am an artist too. Not the best, but I try to pick up after my grandmother. SHE's the artist.

You shouldn't have to log in...hmm...and currently no, I've only got it loaded up on my DA site.

(ok...replying to multiple posts here lol)

I didn't think about long fingernails, I'll have to play around with that and see what I can do. As for the brightness of the blue, I had sort of wanted to make it bright originally, but I can see where it's distracting from the rest. Easy enough to lighten the layers and solve that one

I hadn't gotten to the sky yet...that's Working Title stage 5 laugh But I might have to play around with some heavy clouds, moon, lightning etc...although I probably won't go with a bat...but a dragon or two flying around would look good and fit with the fantasy theme.

Chickayoshi: yup :) I do a lot of digital work, mostly working in Poser, Bryce and GIMP with the occasional work in Paint Shop Pro or equivilent...just depends on what I'm doing at the time. But I also do some charcoal work when I've got time  laugh

You might consider getting a DA site if you don't already have one, it's free to join and a great way to get feedback from other artists :) I've learned a lot and grown a lot as an artist since I joined there about a year ago now, I guess it is. lol

As to titling it myself...I would love to...but sadly I'm drawing a blank for a title. I've thought of like..."Guardian of the Hidden City" or "The Hidden City" etc etc...they just don't seem to fit lol

Sorry, I'm not a 3D Modeler. I do web graphics and logos, and print work.

lol Anytime I hear the word "special" I always think the person is being sarcastic or making fun in a nice way laugh

But I'm taking it as it was (hopefully) intended, as a compliment...and thank you..embarassed
