So few swedish people here.why?

Maybe this dating web site does not get too much publicity in Sweden.



My great grandparents came from Sweden, one from Bratsfor and one from Karlstadt. Please forgive me if I misspelled those towns.

I started to do a family tree but got hung up on a possible name change either before or after they arrrived in the USA.

They went by Bjorkland here in the USA, but supposedly, not certain my greatgrandfather's last name was the equivlent of the American Johnson (Johanson, ?)

I just did not have the time to send for birth and death certificates to go any further. But would love to hear about the country, specifically the two towns my greatgrandparents came from.

About Karlstad: It's located in Värmland nearby the biggest lake of Sweden Vänern. A normal size town which is famous for the dancemusic and apperance in different TV programs like Solsta Cafe'. The dialect is very warm and friendly conmpared to Stockholm (cap o Sw).
I think you might refer to Bengtsfors if your parents meet and lived rather close to eachother. I dont recognize Bratsfor? anyone:/0.
But Bengtsfors is like Karlstad a old industrial town a little smaller thou.

You should ask me CAUSE I AM SWEDISH.There is actually a smaller town with a similiar name Brattfors in the town FILIPSTAD,sounds like it could be the one?
The other town you refer to is KARLSTAD
Its also called BERGSLAGSBYGDEN its way deep into the VÄRMLÄNDSKA skogarna (forrests).Lots of work in the woods in the old time and mines.Those two amller cities is situated in the same state.
The family name should be JOHANSSON in sweden

I havent seen any interest in me at all. I havent recieved anything at all. I am now starting with a photo for a change-it cant get worse. I joined while abroad in poland and have just sent one letter. Perhaps an application for a norwegian citizenchip woud do the trick. I have seen the handling of our languade and society decline substantially. As a newcommer in Norway i would have no past to compare with and settling there will make me busy with other things than finding a woman to marry.

what's going on here? you mean there is just one beautiful Swedish girl here? it's not enough i think ;)

Well if you believe its enough with just ONE beautiful guy on the site, to get all the beautiful girls come running, you might need to do some rethinking ;)

My point of view is that few swedes here is because the site is in English and swedes normaly surf google or the net in svenska. and the swedes here very rarely sit in front of the computer all the time. Like me, i have a website to maintain for my company so i am with the computer all the time. But hey! I am in sweden, great to know more swedes!
