After a great deal of study and thought, I'm at the point where I just don't see anything to support the idea that religion is anything other than superstition with better funding.
I see God as a fictional character, created in primitve times, to serve as a sort of supernatural enforcer/Santa Claus, for the purpose of manipulating hearts, minds, and wallets. My best friend is a devout Christian and believes differently. It makes for some interesting discussions....! |

I definitely 100% believe in God. Everytime I walk out of my door and see nature or see my daughter or even wake up in the morning it reminds me that God is right there.

I am kinda like you Lex, I was raised as a pastors son, went to church 3 times a week, went to college got an Associates degree in religion, but have found nothing in my entire life to support the belief and/or exsistance of God.. |

I believe in God, as well as the trinity (God the father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit).
I've just never seen a logical argument to disprove "him/them", and plenty of occurances in my life to support the claims that attest he's/they're real. |

The fact that we exist at all proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the impossible is possible. The very existence of the universe is the greatest magic act of all.
However, a person would truly need to be blind not to also recognize that we are this universe. The idea of a God that is somehow separate from us and who makes laws and passes judgments is clearly the bogus ideas of men will sincerely limited imaginations. The stories they have created of such an external entity are riddled with self-inconsistencies, downright contradictions. The s stories describe an extremely flawed entity that is supposedly perfect. That in and of itself is enough reason to reject the stories as being completely bogus. However, to think that you are an individual being lost in a universe that is external to you is just as absurd. To not recognize that you came out of the universe and that you are part of it and that you belong here and that the universe is indeed your home, is to be blind to the obvious. For where else would you have come from? What else would you be? I just posted in another thread that it has been unequivocally shown and proven via observation that the universe consists of Energy, Matter, Space and Time, and that all of these things are one in the same. They are all intimately connected and interchangeable. The entire universe is one manifestation of a single underlying entity. We know this to be true. This is something that ancient superstitious men could never possibly know. The idea that the spiritual world is separate from us, or that there can be a separate creator is an absurd idea that has absolutely no foundation in anything other than pure superstition. There is no basis for any such thinking. To believe in such an absurd notion requires truly blind faith. A person must be blind to any sense of reason. And to what end? So they can feel inferior, guilty and weak? Why would anyone want to feel so pathetic in the first place? I believe that I am this universe because every piece of evidence I have ever seen indicates that this has to be the case. I came out of it and there is nothing that is me that did not come from this universe. Moreover when my physical form dissipates. I will simply return to the form I’ve always had of being pure spirit. If that’s what you mean when you refer to the word “God”, then I supposed I believe in God because I know that I ultimately am God and I believe in my own existence. However, if your definition of “God” is a make-believe unsubstantiated external self-proclaimed jealous judgmental ego in the sky, then I have more reason to believe in that silliness than I do to believe in fire-breathing dragons or the Cyclops. The fact that our mind controls our existence and we have the power to summon the paranormal doesn’t mean that an external Santa Claus has to exist. We are the universe. It’s obvious. Any paranormal miracles we perform we do ourselves. No need to attribute them to a fictitious external entity. The universe is the entity. The universe is God. And you’d be hard-pressed to suggest that the universe doesn’t exist. So in that sense, not only does God exist, but God is always visible and right there in front of you all the time. Truly omniscient and always there for YOU. |

I do not believe, to me God is something that was made because people couldn't handle the possibility that there was no life after death.
I used to follow religion, then rough times hit and I would pray, but the bad things kept coming. My family is Catholic, I have chosen not to believe and most of my religious friends do not want me to change. Please don't tell me that he carried me through the bad times, I didn't need to be carried, I needed the bad times to stop. They have yet to stop. My roommate goes to church, faithfully, every sunday, he is my best friend and we decided that our religious views would not affect our friendship. |

Is this a trick question?
God? As in the Personification of God in the Bible? Nope! Some creative source that keeps all this (waves hands around in the air) ... these electrons ... in motion - sure! I have a feeling it is all consciousness anyway |

When people ask me if I believe in God I tell them to "Define God."
If they define God the way they understand It, then I can better answer them. If their eyes glaze over when I ask them to define God, I just say, I believe in myself, so yes I do believe in God. The reason: I exist. I must be god. |

Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. I think God doesn't care what I think of his existence. I enjoy his creation if he made it. If the universe actually came from nowhere at all thats almost cooler to me. |

He is real
During the flood of 93. I was working on a voltage regulator. I had been thier about 3 hours and finally gave up working on the current circuit of this 14,400 volts. I was frustrated reached in and pulled a cable apart. It was marked danger may cause death. Well i did not look. When I pulledd that connector apart it through me around like a ragdoll. I could not see or yell. I tried to jump in the air and lift my feet up to fall to the ground. I coould not do it. I saw my childhood teenage years and so on. I thought I was dead. Thier was only one thing left i knew to do. I thought Yahshua help me. As soon as i thought that an insulator failed and took the voltage to ground. Releasing me. I went out side the sub and saw some lineman and i said i had been shocked. They put thier hand next to my heart and i heard him say I have never felt a heart race like that. They got me in the truck and got me to a hospital because it was faster. They did test on me most of the night. The next morning i said doc how am I. He said he could not explain it but I should be dead and not only that, he said i could go home, they found nothing wrong. My supervisor sent me home for the day. The next day when i got to work i was told to go see the superentendant. He asked me if i wanted to take a less dangerous job. I said no. He told me you do not understand what happened to you yesterday. I said i know i could of been killed. He said you are the 1st person to even survive what you did in the companies 100 year history.. I know many will say this was happenstance. I got lucky. I know Yahweh saved me. I have no doubt whatsoever that he is real. So I say Never Doubt thier is a creator. Look around you, outside and see his handywork. Is thier anyone who can even make a single blade of grass. Give it life from year to year. That is small and he created everything. And gives us what we need. So all I can say is HalleluYah Praise Be To Yahweh...Blessings...Miles |

I believe without a doubt! I know life doesn't always seem fair and sometimes it seems like God is not there or in control, but He is. Sometimes it's us, not Him, simply because we may not get the answer we wanted but in the end it's for our own good, we just don't see it. I think we can be very stubborn in wanting our way and sometimes He will let us have what we ask for, then we wonder why things don't work out. All said in as nice a way as possible.
