Oh please, where do you think he learns this and why he thinks it's ok? His dad's one of those jump out of bed 2 minutes before he has be somewhere, screaming at everyone along the way like it's their fault and throwing things and punching walls because he's frustrated. That's what boo did this morning, screaming at me and blaming me because HE wouldn't get up. I do everything but dress him in the morning to make it easier on him. And then when I lose my patience and yell, jeez, you'd think I beat him or something. I hate to throw ice water here .. but ya, I would ask a professional counselor, cuz from what it sounds like ......... you're enabling him. 
Make him responsible for his own choices Suz. IMHO

Thanks Fade, and you're right to some extent. And we've been to counselors before. And I'm still going. I'm not good in the discipline department, but am working on it. This morning, though, I didn't back down. He missed his bus and I told him if he did, he had to deal with it because I wouldn't drive him. And I didn't.

Another thing I do is if he doesn't get up out of bed by a certain time, I make him go to bed 1/2 hour earlier, no tv or vid games.

Yup, video game's going back to dad's tonight. I banned it for months but let him bring it back over Christmas break, with the stipulation that if it got out of hand, it was going back. I'm rather suspecting he stayed up too late last night. |

 Am going to focus on something much more pleasant, I'm making a beach run next weekend, I need it and God knows, I deserve it. It won't be all that warm, but I don't even care.

Thank you, my chica sisters, so much for giving me a safe place to vent. On occasion, it's a little much. It's nice to know we all have a place to go for support, honesty and a kick in the butt when we need it.
