Ah well guys do the same thing, email and nothing back. Not sure what to make of it, considering how LONG I have been out of the dating scene...

Look I'm serious I just ended a long term relationship and thought there would be alot of women that want to date (go out to dinner and movie or dancing) but no luck. Now my ex is having the time of her life so where is the justice. Am I that bad??

I just think it takes time. I have went on a few dates..by dates I mean out for coffee or dinner. I am mostly looking for just friends though BUT I am keeping an open mind and if something happens thats great!!

it really does take time but i am meeting someone from here saturday and gonna see how things go. who knows!! might be my other half or could just turn into a friendship.

A few of my favorite people on JSH have found their matches here. This site can and does work, for some people.

I think a lot depends on what you want, a certain amount of luck, geography, and the viability of your own personal standards.

A date would be nice, but like others have said just having someone to talk to (when you should be working) is nice. Making friends is always nice.

Dating sites don't work overnight. You can't register for one, find an interesting person, and then be going out for coffee the next evening. All online dating sites take time. And because women are very cautious, probably takes longer than if you go out to the bar to try and pick someone up.

We want to take the time to get to know as much as we can before meeting. Sure, people could be lying. Same as meeting a person randomly in life. But the internet gives us a buffer zone so that people don't know where we live while we are getting to know someone.

You meet someone in life, start to get to know them, and if they are lying, they know your phone number and where you live before you find out, usually.

Online, you talk, get to know someone, a while after talking, you agree to meet at some public place. Meet a few times in person to see if this person is really on the up and up, and only then do you give out your numbers or let them know where you live.

Online dating sites take LONGER. But if you utilize them right, they can also have the potential to be safer.

If you are looking for a quick fix, go to the bar or some other local gathering place.

But some women don't date men they meet at bars. I don't. Two times I broke that rule were absolute disasters. And I worried for months because they guys turned out to be really scary and really screwed up. And they knew where I lived. There will be no third time.
