Well, if you don't have a gym membership you can do what the Army does, I think it's FM 21-20? I duno, but I went from having a bird chest to actually having pecks in about 2 weeks (that was boot camp though lol).

Hit me up with a mail Bro. All you need is a good diet, proper lifting technique and dedication. Takes time Bro so dont be tempted to use drugs and crap like Barry Bonds, lol. Looks like you got a decent frame from ur pic so I see no problem with what you want:wink:

Well, to start with, work out. Do resistance training, but don't forget to swim laps. It helps with the smaller muscles that you can't get with resistance training and helps prevent limited movement due to over development of larger muscles. Also, so your research, because it only helps that. You really want to make sure you are doing things accurately and not working on certain areas more than others.

Muscle builds up by overworking it to get it to break down, giving it a day or two to rest and rebuild, bigger than it was before. (Yes, a bit oversimplified, but the easiest way to explain it) This can be assisted by taking in more protein. Protein is very important in the development of muscles. But you still want a reasonably balanced diet. More protein is good, but not so much more that you aren't getting the carbs and fiber you need. Don't forget that some fat is important. Since some minerals and vitamins are only fat soluble.

Noooooooo. Bro, stay away from swimming laps Bro if you want to put some Mass on. Its a proven fact that swimmers have a smoother look or lack of definition in general. There were actual studies done on this.

2nd.- Muscle doesnt break down. You actually put micro tears from resistance training. These tears are then repaired and technically you expanded the muscle cells volume on a very mynute level. Remember you dont add new muscle from training, you make the existing skeletel muscle expand/larger

1. I didn't say to do tons of laps. There is a big difference. I didn't say to make it the focus of working out. Everyone knows that full time swimmers are very lean. They don't want to carry the extra muscle weight. But a few laps after workouts IS beneficial to people who want to bulk up.

2. Uh, tears ARE breaking down. I said it was an over simplification. But something that is getting tiny tears all over it IS breaking down and the rebuilding process IS the repairing process.

Exactly. Swimmers are lean.... He wants Mass. Bad advice. When muscle breaks down, its called atrophy. Very bad. Loss of Mass. When muscle expands/grows its called hytrophy. You really dont know what you're talking about...Sorry. If he wants to listen to you, lol, then its up to him..

Ee
