My personal opinion on this matter would be a inevetable answer due to everyone elses opinions because for the fact it differs to others. As for myself I might consider dating a smoker but on the other hand i find it very unatractive.. WTF...?  I pretended that post didn't exist, and so should you. |

As a matter of fact..yes I do believe it..cuz I've seen it happen..how can you not believe in something that you've seen evidence of?

i agree with scinn about not being able to afford it anymore but i've never really had anyother problems from that...other than nonsmokers being jerks and not wanting to hang out or even get to know me just cuz i smoke.

Personally I don't mind either way...but I find men (and women) who use chewing tobacco highly unattractive. You've got to keep in mind (and this is coming from a fellow smoker lol) that it's not just the health factor, smoking causes very bad breath, bad teeth, etc etc. No one wants to kiss a smoker...as they say, it's like kissing an ash tray. It doesn't exactly taste good and therefore a turnoff. People who also smoke don't tend to care, as they too smoke...so therefore it doesn't make a big difference to them. I'm currently trying to quit, so hopefully one day I'll be able to say I'm no longer a smoker...but that's why there isn't much of a middle ground on it. Non-smokers find kissing smokers gross (just like I would find kissing a guy who chews tobacco gross) but most fellow smokers don't really care. People that chew are disgusting, hands down. And didn't your mother tell you "Never be a quiter!"? lol I was trying to be nice about the chewing bit  and nope...my mother never really spoke to me much. But, on the other hand...I get horrid cotton mouth, smoker's cough and a perpetual bad taste in my mouth which requires me to brush my teeth about 4 or 5 times a day and chew gum regularly to help control that. Would be nice to be able to breath, lose the smoker's cough and actually taste food for once. *lmao* I guess I'm blessed, I've smoked for almost 22 years now and the only problem I have is the bad smelling clothes. Of course I don't smoke in the house, cause I dislike what it does to the walls and electronics, but I figure I enjoy it so much, why quit? Well I don't smoke in the house, don't smoke in the car and don't smoke on the screened in porch if the kids are out there because of the kids....I smoke, but it doesn't mean they have to. *lol* But again, it just comes down to personal things...but you are lucky! lol I've been smoking for about 11 years now and can't wait until I can fully quit.

I too agree it depends on the person. I am a smoker who quit cold turkey only to start after i joined the army. It doesnt matter to me either way if there is love involved it shouldnt matter what he or she does as long as its not beating her/him or the childeren.

I have bad asthma and so I can't get near someone who smokes without having a reaction to it. I don't think it is a very healthy life choice and I don't want to date someone who can't take care of themselves. Having said that, I would date someone who smoked, even though I can't stand it, before I would date someone who dipped. My dad did both so I have lived with it. I find it highly distateful.

i smoke out side...nomatter what the weather is...away from any nonsmokers or children...but i've smoked for 5 years and i'm only 19 now..i started because i wanted to see how far i could push things because of the 18years old to buy tabacco thing...
but i'm starting to understand why some people act the way they do about smokers |

No matter what you do, you can never please everyone and there will always be someone to tell you, you are wrong and they know better than you.Just be yourself and do what makes you happy,and if people dont want to be around you,THAT is their loss
