I've opened this topic, I'm sure there is one like it... but I haven't found it. Sorry if this is redundant for anyone... I thought we could share expiriances, ideas, and stuff like that... well, hope this flys!

Yes, very nice... I do believe that there are teachings in every religion that we should listen to... and take into account... I am a Wiccan, but I do read of other religions, becuase they all have good ideas... you just have to find one that suites you best! :D

Yea,
Religions have always been started by one person... One person had an idea... I don't think anyone knows how the first religion was born, but I'm sure it's a great story... If anyone knows of how thier religion started, I would love to hear it... or if they have an idea of how religion got started in general... it's all very interesting...

Yep, yep, this is why my bookshelves have books on Christianity, Wicca, Paganism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. Opps, I do have a book on Native American Shamanism as well. But it seems odd because they tried to generalize different Native American cultural views from very very different cultures.

I think, from the sociological stand point, they think most religions developed to deal this death. Anything else evolved out of that. The oldest indicators of religion are connected to death and to birth.

yea,
That's what I've read and observed... and then they came up with other rules and ideas that gravitated around and away from that...

Most Pagans will have a wide variety of books, and interests in ALL types of religions. Pagans are willing and able to look at all beliefs openly and without having coniption fits, or screaming tantrums like the fundies, and make their own decisions, either with Paths already written or meshing their own views together. :-)

My religious library consists of various Xtian, Gnostic, Muslim, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Druidism, Native North and South American, Aboriginal, Wiccan, Shamanism, books that I have read over the years, and found enjoyable.

Very interesting indeed.

So may I ask, have you ever run into any Faery-based Qabalah? flowerforyou

I'm sorry but I must constantly tell pagans the rules;

NO SACRIFICING CATS OR KITTENS

NO NEKKID DANCING AROUND A FIRE

yes I'm being saracastic, except for the kittens, nobody should abuse animals drinker

Before I became a christian, I also studied other religions.

Although I am a christian , I love all people despite their beliefs....and accept all people....even if they don't beleive the same way as I do.

Christians actuallly do accept and love all people.....

it is the minority that make the majority look bad.

But even though I accept all people, I still share my faith also.flowerforyou:heart:flowerforyou
