I usually think Michael Moore is over the top and spews alot of propoganda, but when Sicko came out I went to see it, as I am in the health field and there was only one of his "facts" I could argue with.

Michael Moore, as Lily stated, spews out propoganda. That is why I am against him. He hates America, but is willing to take monies he earns here. He is disrespectful of our president. I believe it is alright to criticize the president or any of our politicians, but one should not bash and be disrespectful. Moore goes over the line. Additionally, Moore makes up his own facts.

Socialized Medicine = Big Brother looking over your shoulder, dictating what you can and cannot eat, how you should live your life, what weight you should be. Happening in England and elsewhere, no doubt the nanny government would come here as well.

I don't think he makes up his own, but he CERTAINLY scews them to his point of view.

In Sicko he tells the story of the woman on welfare who's daughter dies because they wouldn't treat her.

this is absolutly untrue, unless the woman refused care due to her no being able to pay, which is then her fault. If my child is sick, I don't care what the cost is to me at a later date, get her help now.

Yea but Norway also has almost twice USA's GDP so they can afford it. They are second highest in the world.

Not long ago a woman fell on the sidewalk in the city. An ambulance arrived and tended her injuries...her bill? Zero. The city provides the service for free.
I am a patient at a local clinic, I go for my annual exams, blood work, etc...my bill? ZERO

When I get sick I go to my doctor at the clinic...my bill? ZERO

A friend of mine needed an EKG...her cost? 150 U$S dollars.

I have some of the best insurance available as part opf my union benefit package, not bragging, but stateing a fact but I know so many people who are struggling or who have outragouse co-pays and deductibles you wonder how they do it. Medical treatment in this countr is just another get rich scam for wallstreet

Not really, malpractice insurance is very high and medical treatments are expensive. Our country has too many people in it and too many poor people to be able to afford socialized medicine.

I find it odd that umerika is ranked like 23 rd in terms of quality of care yet we have the most expensive health care in the world. at least that is what the experts say
