Looks are important, but I look at the whole package.

I used to focus on looks and a sense of humor alone, but found that the "pretty boys" I was dating lacked some of the vital qualities for a stable, reliable life partner. I adjusted what I was seeking a few years back and it seems to be putting me in better directions these days. It was not an easy thing to do, by any means, though! While I still tend to go for classically tall and handsome men, it doesn't have to be someone with model looks anymore if he has the other character qualities I need.

To be honest u have to have a physical attraction... I am not saying that u have to be model... for true that fades... but for me it's in the eyes....

But with out an ability to hold a conversation...or having self respect for urself and respect for others... hold on to a job... and have goals... well the physical is not going to hold it together...

There is more to it it isn't black and white...

But in ans 2 ur quest... I need to have a physical attraction also... and I don't consider myself shallow... just honest....

Looks are very important.....but isnt the end all....and luckily....everyone has there own perception of beautiful or attractive.....and angelindarkness said it right ...part of anyone looks can be changed...if they really want to...

Looks are somewhat important to me, but as long as you don't look like uncle fester and out weight me by a ton I'm okay.
Now my other half is gorgeous at least I see it that way flaws and all he is beautiful inside and out..Of course the high and tight and the acu's is a bonus......he may be 22, but he has my heart even if he was injured in Iraq, I would never leave his side. We both are soldiers so we understand each other...His heart made me like him, the rest fell into place....

depends on the woman really...not to forget, that being good-looking is something very different than basic
personal care.

I agree, personal care means more than face value since who likes dirty sheets.

I've noticed how a few of you say looks are important. Is that meaning just what your attracted too? or how what everyone else looks a t looks?

I myself am in no way looking for that perfect bod as most men look for. My last gf I was more interested in her beautiful smile and the personality that she had. I stop looking for what I thought would make me happy and started to see what would make me happy.

Prolly, not as big as you. I mean not for someone as big as you. I mean somebody with a wallet as big as you. are they not big on you, I dont think anything is big on you

I am separated and will be going through a divorce soon. And I sure as hell am not going to take him for everything he has in the divorce. What would the point be in doing that? We have children together and we need to be civil with each other for the kids. Even if we didn't have kids. I wouldn't do something like that. There have been times that I heard women talking about if they ever got divorced that they would take their husbands for everything. They said this about their husbands who they were not even considering on leaving, and I couldn't understand why they would say something about the man they loved. Really made me wonder if they really did love them.

Ask yourself the same question. As you described yourself, is that what you look for in a woman? Cool if you do.

Looks get you in the door, but the rest makes you welcome.
