Yes I can say I have learned....maybe not for the best...much more caution used getting close to someone now. Some call them walls build around the heart.....hard to get inside them. This resent one I was datting and trying to build a friendship with was not honest with herself and I asked her a question, well told her more like. I said, does it bother you that I new what I wanted and where I stood in my life as far as what I was looking for and who I am. She said yes because she always has had a preoblem being honest with herself. That aloe will lead you in all kinds of wrong directions and making wrong choices. Very true, you have to know yourself and know what you want in order to be open to and find the right person for you. They in turn have to know themselves and what they want, but knowing what you want is half the battle. Most people don't take the time to fully think about what it is exactly they want, and also a lot of people settle for less, which is also trouble. |

Humm think I have said this more than once in the past myself. It don't matter how long you have known them or how well you think you know them believe me YOU DON'T KNOW THEM LIKE YOU THINK YOU DO!!!!  You are right...why is this? Why is it so hard to really know another person? What is in their heart, their soul...the real person...if only I could really know. |

It's all a TRUST ISSUE most have been dumped on so much from others they hid the true self. They are scared to tell another how they really feel for the fear of being dumped once again.
It takes a lot of thinking and years to realize for some just to be them selves. That they must like what is within and be honest there first before they can be honest with otheres as well.  I'm pretty much an open book I say how I feel and don't mind telling others what they ask. I may not be totaly proud of everything I have done in my life or my choices but I don't regret any of them either.  It's sad to see others that seek a relationship when they should be seeking to fix what is within first. For one must repair and deal with the past before moving on. They seem to think a partner is a quick fix to there problems ohh how sooo wrong they are.

 gets in our way at times and then we are left with a  no matter how hard we think we know what is right or what we see. Things in life still go wrong and we beat ourselves over the head wondering were we went wrong. Is it cause we cared too deeply? Naw it was cause we feel in  love and could not see things as clearly as we thought we could. That is not a crime we just pick ourselves back up dust ourselves off and move on the best way that we can. We learn from the past but we don't regret the ones that crossed our paths.

When you have nothing to hide and rwal with yourself and the person that your trying to get to know.
