So... I'm having a baby with my best friend and we're having a discussion about whether or not to have him circumcised. Neither of us is religious, so that reasoning is out. We've looked at medical reasons, and the main argument is the controversial HIV scare. So far we've found no concrete arguments for or against getting a male circumcised. So what are your opinions? Medical views welcome.drinker

I had a baby boy and had him circumcized. It's better for them, it keeps them cleaner and free of infections, it's also better looking.

I would circumsize him, I have a friend that was uncircumsized, makes you more susceptible to bacterial infections, he had to have over an inch and a half of "it" removed due to not being circumsized... Not worth the risk not to!

My nephew is snipped and there were no complications from it. I've heard far worse on the side of irritation and infection from NOT having it done...

 I agree with this FULLY, BUT I have two sons, one was circumsized, and the other, the doc, messed up and only did about half a job?
He went in and got it done right when he was about 21.
He had alot of problems with the extra skin and keeping it clean, as he grew, but learne how and done fine from about 8 on.
NOW, I have read many guys and gals married who were not cirumsized and THEY all say they love their manhood and the wives do to.
So if it was me NOW, I would say to leave them WITH the extra skin that are MAKER wanted them to have..
If taught how to clean them selves as they grow, they will not have problems with keeping then selves clean there...
Yes, they would be different looking in the locker rooms but they would also be raised to KNOW THAT!
And my thoughts are "WHO THE HECK ARE WE TO SAY" WHATS NORMAL,
or ab-normal???? drinker smokin GOOD LUCK with making YOUR decision!!!

I had a friend get a serious infection at age 12, then had to be circumcised. He had a really hard time. Some claim it's cruel. My 2 boys had no problem with their circumcisms. Kids get to a phase where they are as hygenic in the tub or shower, as you'd like. Do your research, so you guys can come to the best decision.
