Ok this is a simple one.. What is the difference between being cocky and being confident.. Its a very fine line to walk. It does take some cockyness to be confident becuase other wise how do you let them know that you are awesome

well confident means you believe in your self...cocky means you want everyone else to believe in you. if that person already believes in you then your confidence has shown thourgh. coky is more of an arrogant form of "confidence", hope that helps.

I think when people are cocky it's because they lack what THEY think will impress other people and their perception of them. In other words...cockiness is just insecurity manifesting itself in a big bully way.

Another good point.. :-D Its more of a they think they need to act a certain way to get all others to like them or notice them.. Verse just being themselves and know that they are happy that way and if others don't like it ohh well your loss

Everyone has there own take on whats what.....i think arogant means you think your better than everyone else and think your sh#$ don't stink and its all bout you.....confident i think meand you know wha tyou want and know you can do it or walk in a room and just start talking to everyone with out bein shy.

I disagree. I think a certain amount of cockiness is necessary. It shows some character. (Maybe that's why I could never go back to being a civilian, haha)
