As a rule, I'm with ya. But the REAL ME doesn't believe in ~ or support
~ censorship in any form. "Exclusivity", to me, is censorship.

How about a compromise? How about a seperate section for those who
prefer to remain anonymous, or who cannot (for whatever reason) post a
photo?

Well I told why I did not have any pictures worth posting. And I even
asked what people like most about pics used on this site with bad
results. I had a migrain so I did not stop and pic up the camera today
like I said I would but I plan on having a pic. So for a few of us there
are real reasons for not posting a picture. If I still had the digi
camera I would have had one up by now taken by candle light(love that
feature). But I was not going to put a pic of me and the ex kissing over
a candle lit dinner as that is the only picture I have that has been
taken in the last 3 years of me. I think to many of you are taking this
to far. Just read my thread about what do you like about pics. When I
asked about making a picture for this site I still got where is your pic
when I explained I was making one.

I think people without pictures are ashamed of how ugly and weird they
look. I am proud of how ugly and weird I look.

It could be because they are from a small community and would rather
remain confidential. At least that's my reason.

i think on the internet we all should have the freedom to decide what we
want to show about ourselves.

if we are comfortable with just a text description, i'm fine with that.
eventually if they feel comfortable with me, they might let me know
where their photos are (they might have 100 photos at flickr.com!).

Besides, how do you autheticate that the photo is really theirs anyway?

they could just grab an image off another site, post their friends
photo. who knows?
should we care?

I guess there's no easy solution. you could probably choose to boycott
someone because they have no photo, but they could be a really nice
person (who for whatever reason chooses not to put up their photo).
would you want to miss out on that?

for me, i've been friendly towards everyone, photo or no photo.
and i'd like to think that many of them think of me as a friend, even
though we've not met in person.

it's worked out for me.

easy, ask them to do something weird with like their hand and take a
picture of it or something.

you'd be surprised how easy it is to find a pic matching whatever you
want on flickr and the photo sites.

i doubt you'd have much luck there.

but good idea though.

maybe if u sent them a PM, they printed it out. held it in front of
their face. it'd be pretty foolproof.
but i'd doubt i'd do it.
unless it was jessica alba writing me.

yeah, you could do it twice, so it's the same person's face in both
pictures.

Maybe some people think outside appearance is superficial and they want
to be liked for their personality not for how they look.
