Im thinking about getting a tattoo on the top of my foot. Has anyone ever got one there before? If so how bad did it hurt?? Whats everyone opinion on tattoos?

i have one there. it didn't hurt much at all. i think it really depends on how well you tolerate pain though.

Tattoos are so trendy, you should get a huge peircing like an earring that connects to your nose and then to your other ear then to the back of your neck, then to you belly button then back up the other side to the back of your neck.
That would rule. Any part of your body that is really bony, like your feet is going to hurt. Just gotta know how much pain you can deal with. |

there is no meat on the top of your foot so think about it...it hurts

I don't have any myself, but they look good on some people. Many people wear my designs but I have none. To be truthful, I faint around needles. |

i have several tatts and yes the top of the foot hurts... but all in all i guess its all in the pain tolerance...or just how much getting a tat turns you on

I actually got a tattoo on my foot in April 2007--it's not bad, but then again I've pierced my own ears, etc., so I don't know if our pain tolerance is the same...
I also have one on my lower back, though, and it hurt more--mostly because of the thick lines of the tattoo...the more the artist has to widen a line, the more it will hurt... Also keep in mind, the foot is a bony area, much like the hand, so it's bound to be more sensitive. As for tattoos in general--be absolutely sure you want it--it will, after all, be there forever. Do you want to look at your foot when you're 40 and have a tattoo there? Anyway, I hope I helped a little...? |

mine was done with a 1 needle and it is better for fine detail...and it hurts...if your tatt doesnt have that much detail it wont hurt as bad....my turtles claw actually goes on the side of my foot and thats the part that hurt real bad...

I have a 3" Tat of a Lighthouse on the side of my left leg.
It sort of felt like razor blades when it was being done. But did not bother me. I like it. Tats are ok to me- as long as there are'nt too many. JMO. I think the top of the foot is a bit more sensitive area, as are other areas I'm sure. |

This will be my first tattoo. Ive always said that I would never get one because I would get sick of it. Well ive had a few rough years and want to put a closing on it but remember who helped me get through it. So I know exactly what I want, but I want it on my foot because I think that is a place that it can be hid easily. As for my pain tolerence...i do hate needles but I think I can get through it. The tattoo I want isnt huge so it shouldnt be bad...hopefully!
