..affect or determine the kind of day you have...your mood, your performance? I know when I worked outside of the home what was on the agenda for that day determined what I wore, if there was meeting I dressed more professionally, if it was a down day, like Fridays, I dressed more casually. But I always had a couple of outfits that always felt comfortable and some how made me perform better and lifted my mood when I wore them. Now that I work at home I still do that to a certain extent. I have never been one to stay in PJs all day, just feels too relaxed to me, sometimes sweats make me feel that way too. I have to have shoes on, no house slippers. Now in the winter months I tend to chose colors that are a bit more bright 'cause winter tends to be a drab as it is and dark colors just seen make it even more so.

Just somethin I was ponderin....yep definitely have to much alone time!!

I think that the clothes worn do have have an effect on the way that a person feels while wearing them, but they shouldn't overwhelmingly determine a mood. Getting dressed for the day, to me, is like preparing for battle. If I am dressed appropriately and my hair and make up or lack there of, are appropriate for what I am going to be doing I feel more confident in what I do. I think taking the time to consider these things is a small price to pay for the confidence you can feel when you feel prepared for whatever it is that comes at you during your day.

Yes i totally agree with you, i am the same way.
Depending on what is happening for that day, is how i dress for it.
And it works

Why not be comfortable and happy

Oh and alone time thoughts aren't so bad. It can give people time to consider things they wouldn't otherwise think of.

Cloths do make a difference. I notice that my mood and actions change. I dont mean that my whole personality changes, but when I where my tux for performances then I notice that I am more professional, I stand up straighter. It all goes back to if you look better, you feel better. So you,ve got it just about right.

Thanks! flowerforyou

And Matt, I know what ya mean about the tux...when I wore a dress or a suit the way I moved, walked changed completely than when I wore slacks and a sweater.

When I worked at home I thought it would be great to work in PJs..
...ended up performing better when I woke up showered and "got dressed for work".

For me, it makes absolutely no difference at all. I put something on and then I never even think about it again until I take it off.

Exactly what I thought when I began working from home! A shower perks me up, chases away the fog.

I don't wear make-up at home, but I do get a shower and do my hair. I just feel like a slob otherwise and I think it reflects in my work performance.

Don't let's forget about the shoes, too. My teenage daughters think it's so cool to have a Dad who loves to shoe shop. My feets loves shoes!
