Since hitting about mid-30s, I've always told people it's not the length of the barrel or the caliber of the bullet, but the skill of the marksman.

Don't spare my feelings or those of the other pocket-pistol toters and derringer hiders; be brutally honest while keeping the conversation safe for general discussion group.

Now that I'm older, with comp0etition so stiff (no pun intended) I kinda wish I had one of those long barreled single-shot Thompson Centers rather than this semi-auto pocket pistol.

Guys, think before you post: rebuttals could be harsh.

A pink "pistol" with a bow on it; that's a bit unnerving when I try to visualize it ('cause it ain't mine!).

I've heard a Derringer only works in the most close and perfect of circumstances, but if you at least have a six shooter it will get the job done and no shotgun is needed.

All hearsay though, women are generally pretty kind about our pride in weapondry.

You know, you're right - especially that last part; I had never really given it any thought, but I guess I could have heard a lot worse than "adequate."

Pistol or rifle does not make a difference.
It's all in the marksmanship!

but......I have to believe it when I hear that a pistol marksman is a lot more effective than a rookie who can't handle his rifle
