Does this sound familiar? "anyone who speaks out against"

Our own leaders, who are these people, I'm not sure they were elected. Infact, my physical evidence supports the idea that they were indeed just 'put' into office. Even the German people actually wanted Hitler in his role at first.
I'm sure I'm not getting your point entirely. Please clarify?

mrtxstr...... you said in part,

"a better example for charisma today would be Bill Clinton."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Darn it! laugh

I have to admonish you once again, which I really hate to do since you seem like such a nice guy!

Sorry but Bill isn't drawing the crowds anymore. The Dems sent him out to New Hampshire to rescue Hillary, but he isn't getting much of an audience. It would appear that he has lost his charisma.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. bigsmile

sorry your wrong.Bill drew great crowds in NH.I live here,i know.

Barrack Obama reminds you of mlk because he keeps paraphrasing him in his speeches. He wants us to unite..unite and do what? Please.

Just because I chose to quote one source does not mean their is not a 'ligitimate' source. Just do a basic Google search and search 'obama, africa, and muslim'. I didn't have any carnel knowledge of this before my recent research. Unfortunately, ALL roads lead to this same conclusion. Perhaps before you attack the ligitimacy of the web site, you should do your own research.

Remember, if anyone has something of value to say, let him say it! It does not say 'anyone legitimate'.

Perhaps before you attack the ligitimacy of the web site, you should do your own research.
I don't know what to say. You take what I said as an attack.. when it was merely an observation.. and a question.

I've done my research, thank you.. and the only legitimate information I found talks of trips to Africa.. I did not know that is a bad thing!

So.. Since I was accused of an attack when I did not even state an opinion.. I will take an opportunity to state my opinion.

It sounds like many here have fallen for the multitude of chain e-mail and blog smear campaigns out there. You folks seem to take this stuff as gospel and a few of you (such as sunshine4596) will defend it's veracity to your last breath!

Here is an interesting article discussing this phenomena that we so often see in modern politics and how the internet plays a part.
http://www.newsweek.com/id/91424/page/1

This one speaks of his alleged Muslim schooling
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16813267/

Again... If you are going to use someone else's words to back your claim, suspicion or bias... It might help if you actually had a credible source.

I am not backing any particular candidate in any particular party. I am only encouraging us to stay away from the various lies and spun stories that cloud the issues at hand.

A little research goes a long way.

kidatheart.... I agree with what you said and want to add a few more comments about Hitler being very charismatic.

Hitler was like Bill Clinton in that he was skilled at reading an audience and telling them what they wanted to hear.

Hitler was an extremely gifted public speaker, able to play on people’s emotions, fears and nationalism in order to work them up into a frenzy. He could have written a book on public speaking and it would have easily become a political reference work on the same order as ‘The Prince’ or ‘Art of War.’

Hitler was also a great showman. He studied the art of the stage magician and utilized the various tricks of gesture and body movement in order to further bring the audience into his speeches. That is why you see him pounding the podium for emphasis and suddenly breaking into ‘seig heil!’ at various points in his speeches. It was to get the audience riled up and participating, rather akin to when a musician screams to his crowd “Are you ready to rock? I can’t hear you – ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!?”

It got the audience to participate and thus made it more of a social gathering then them simply sitting there listening to his speech.

Hitler employed various props and showmanship pieces as well, holding speeches at night, with burning torches and bon fires to add a sense of wonder and awe, thus captivating and enchanting the audience.

A last point I want to make is that Hitler’s speeches, both what he said and how he said it, are studied for their effectiveness, technique, etc even today.

Incidentally, I learned the above from a book I read in a Political Science Class in college.

In reference to Obama being Muslim, I got the following from a letter a friend send me via my personal email.

Obama, his white atheistic Kansas-born mother and black Muslim stepfather moved to Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, in 1967, and Obama lived there from ages 6 to 10.

The L. A. Times sent a reporter to Jakarta to investigate Obama’s childhood years there, and published an article on March 16 that included these details:

A close boyhood friend of Obama, Zulfin Adi, said Barack “was a Muslim who went to the mosque.”

Obama’s first-grade teacher at a Catholic school, Israella Dharmawan, said: “Barry (Barack’s nickname) was Muslim. He was registered as a Muslim because his step-father was Muslim.” His mother divorced her first Muslim husband and married a second Muslim who was/is a member of the exteme Muslim group who are terrorists.

In the third grade, Obama transferred to a public school, where he was also registered as a Muslim. At the school, Muslim students attended weekly religion classesthat taught them about Islam.

In his autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama mentions studying the Koran and describes the public school as “a Muslim school.”

More recently, Middle East Forum director Daniel Pipes wrote on FrontPageMag.com that his research led him to conclude that “Obama was born a Muslim to a non-practicing Muslim father and for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian stepfather.”

There are assertions that when Obama decided to enter politics he gave up his Muslim religion and became Christian since he knew that Americans would never elect a Muslim president.

Something else .... if the above is true, Obama is now what Islamic law calls a murtadd (apostate), an ex-Muslim converted to another religion who must be executed.

The L.A. times did publish an article on March 16th 2007. However it was a republished article from the Baltimore Sun. The L.A. times did not send anyone to Jakarta.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/bal-te.obama16mar16,1,7181735,full.story?coll=la-headlines-nation&ctrack=3&cset=true

"A close boyhood friend of Obama, Zulfin Adi, said Barack “was a Muslim who went to the mosque.” "
Actually reads:
The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. "We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played," said Zulfin Adi, who describes himself as among Obama's closest childhood friends.

"In the third grade, Obama transferred to a public school, where he was also registered as a Muslim. At the school, Muslim students attended weekly religion classes that taught them about Islam.

In his autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama mentions studying the Koran and describes the public school as “a Muslim school.”"

This reference actually says:
In his autobiography, Dreams From My Father, Obama briefly mentions Koranic study and describes his public school, which accepted students of all religions, as "a Muslim school."

"In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies," Obama wrote. "My mother wasn't overly concerned. 'Be respectful,' she'd say. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I would close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended. Just a parched old nun and 30 brown children, muttering words."

"More recently, Middle East Forum director Daniel Pipes wrote on FrontPageMag.com that his research led him to conclude that “Obama was born a Muslim to a non-practicing Muslim father and for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian stepfather.”"

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=1F297C14-C64D-41B1-AEBB-E0325C823CD8
The exact quote states:
In sum: Obama was an irregularly practicing Muslim who rarely or occasionally prayed with his step-father in a mosque. This precisely substantiates my statement that he “for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian step-father."

The assumption he is a murtadd is a pretty big one given the accurate quotes above...
"One who professes Islam without observing its obligations and prohibitions nor harboring unbelief is neither a murtadd nor a munafiq nor a kafir but a fasiq or depraved person -- may Allah guide us and you."

Even if it is deemed he was, according to Islamic law, one can only be judged and punished by the Islamic State, not by individuals. It is forbidden to enforce penal law or act of war whatsoever, whether in the presence or absence of Islamic State. except by lawful mandate.
