“Sweet Dreams”

Where did it go?
Do you know?
Tick tock goes the clock.
As we take this walk.
Time does seem to fly.
Soon it’s time to say good-bye.
Neither wants to hear the click.
But there is no magic trick.
So we can turn the hands of time back.
For we both need to hit the sack.
Our talks go long into the night.
That leaves us both with a smile so bright.
We talk of things in the past.
The time seems to go by so fast.
As I listen to your laughter.
And I snuggle down in my comforter.
As I listen to your voice.
I don’t even notice.
What time it has become.
It’s hard to believe it has come.
The time sure did fly.
As I listen to you sigh.
And we try to defy.
Once again it seems.
It’s time to say good night and Sweet Dreams.
