I've run into this issue before, and the answer is that users cant set their max age preference ( or minimum) in matches. So you never know if your barking up the wrong tree until they unmatch you.

And as far as being a "dirty old man" theres a zillion reasons men want younger women besides the obvious, it occur to anyone that just cause were older doesnt mean that we dont want kids?

Maybe were high energy, in shape and looking for the same in a mate, too many past 40 look 60+ And are in terrible shape/health..

And then theres life damage, damage from past relations that many cant seem to shake off.. I run into that ALOTT at 40+. Theres a GIANT list why to date younger, both sides! There's not even a debate, I could write a book of reasons.

BOOM! Zeeb nailed it, people get stuck in patterns. I've met people who still think that a perfect "man" or "woman" exists.

A waste of time, relations are a compromise, and ideally if they both work on their flaws in each relation theyll be even better in the next.

Pretty soon, were ALL the perfect person and there's no struggling anymore for relations, because were all made for eachother with no hangups. After that it whittles down to looks and whims. Its backwards people go by looks, get drunk and find out the bad news later.

Females spend too much time "feeling men out" what many dont understand is people change in time regardless of age or sex, trust me I know.

The truth is every relation takes work, work to make it good, and work (or lack of) to make it bad. Its all about energy.
