God loves a cheerful giver. Giving is Scriptural.
2 Corinthians 9:7

I am truly blessed by giving.

Not referring just to "Tithing".

Isn’t there like a certain percentage of your income you’re suppose to give like 10% or something like that?

Christian 'Tithing', its equivalent to Islam is 'Zakat'. Zakat is 2½% of wealth of 87 g Gold value or more of which is not utilized for a year.
According to Shia doctrine, the fifth is taken from both the spoils of war and from the money that provides for the livelihood of the person and his family each year.

The parable of the widow's mite is obscene, but that's religion for you.
