I'm not sure of this topic has been posted before, but this is open to anyone who wants to comment.

Have you gotten emails from individuals who say that they are interested in getting to know you (and you had written a fairly lengthy profile with pictures) and asks you if you're interested in getting to know them? Have you gone to check their profile out and found that there's absolutely NIL for a profile and not one picture posted? (The most recent message I got was "I liked your profile. Are you interested? I'm not picky." I kid you not.) I get this a lot, so all I can say is NO, I'M NOT INTERESTED. I usually write something along these lines (I respond to each and every one of the messages I get - even the crappy ones out of politeness) - "Thank you for writing and your interest, but how can I base any interest in you when you have next to nothing on your profile?" Needless to say, these emails are read and I RARELY ever get a response back, which is expected.

I know that a lot of people don't like writing about themselves (me included), but how the heck does one expect another person to be interested just based on nothing?

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this. Thanks!

If someone's got no picture, I don't even look or write them back. Why waste the time?

Oh, and it depends on the writing about yourself part. Sometimes you just send some messages and find everything out that you wanted to know. I don't know, I guess no information is better than no picture, to me.

Alot of scammers out there but usually more for dimwitted desperate men like greg(looool)J/K Brah...Seriously theres usually a reason behind those shady profiles

I dont like the blue box people.......they freak me out.....I imagine them with mullets....no idea why..........

Nothing wrong with scammers every now and again. Just can't make them a habit.

empty profiles are just sign that eithers they are hiding something or too insecure to to be honest i myself like to see to whom i am replying to or i will not reply,those with out pics? oh come on its a digital world and they can at least post a webcam pic if they can,t afford a digital camera ,i mean scan in a pic with a scanner or something

I never reply to a blue box, always think they must look like the back of a London cab or they are a scammer or game player

i have had this...drive me mental hun..got one the other day same as ..like yout profile etc...so when i replied that there was nothing to read in his...he never got back in touch...whats the point?????

I don't really agree..sometimes it's better to keep the discretion. I didn't post my picture, but if you really, really want to see me, I can do it.

If someone like that writes me. I usually tell them what I didn't like about their profile. They may have left out some info or they are to young. (geez) Then I wish them luck on what ever they are searching for on JSH. Try to add something positive when you email them back, I do.

I can't post a pic. NOT a comp nerd. And like others say, if I looked like George Clooney or Brad Pitt, you would get false people replying. Like dating women and letting them know you have $10 million $$$. You would get dishonest people digging for gold.

Yes the "blue box' ppl dont really get a response from me eiher...no matter what anyone says...attraction is the first thing that is imnportant in a relationship or even getting to one....but what really bugs me is the weirdos that will write something like "Hey baby! How you doin you sweet thang? write to me and maybe we can get our groove on" ( no joke)...that is annoying.....I AM NOT ANYONE'S BABY, THANK YOU!!!
