By the way. staying here on JSH sounds good, seeing as how I don`t have to go back to work till, Feb,1st. I`m on medical leave because I broke my leg. The only time I go out is for beer runs, cigarette runs, of course food and go to therapy..Physical that is..Those of you that know me, already know that the mental therapy ain`t gonna help me Hope ya`ll have a good one..Stay warm..Keep hydrated 12 ounce curls baby. Chill out and catch ya`ll later |

About 40 miles north of Chicago in Gurnee, IL I paid $3.29 for premium @ BP Amoco. I have to use 93 octane because my car has
a 200hp 2 liter 4 with 11:1 compression. 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. 22 mpg city. 29 highway. |

Its hovering around $3, just depends on which gas station I goto. This sucks because my job depends on me driving to all parts of the state (and I only get paid 30 cents a mile) so its taking a huge chunk out of my budget

Gas prices don't matter to me much. I work 14 days a month and my job is 2 miles from home. Thats 56 miles a month plus shopping for food 1 mile from home.

Study last yr. said American's won't start to really conserve till gas hits $4.00 per gal. We are the most wasteful nation on this planet. I think you can expect gas to hit that sometime this yr. I have been learning to conserve more for the past couple yrs. Can't get it done one way, they will get it done the other. Just my thoughts.

I think people will start to realize that global warming is A FACT If gas was $5 a gallon, it would make people think when buying the next gas guzzler. I sold my 2004 Toyota Tundra crew cab Limited, TRD 4X4 that got 10-12 MPG For a 2007 Honda Civic Si sedan, fast, fun, good MPG. About double the Tundra.

Not to mention I drive for my job as well, and I DON'T get a kicker for gas. I get staright up minimum wage. On the highway I get about 10 miles to the gallon. During work I go through about 1/4 tank per night.for just 14 or 15 miles (and that includes back and forth to work itself) |

I stopped for gas this morning -- $3.02.
Coming back, two hours later, the same station -- $3.19. It's like they have a machine that just makes up numbers.... |

You could almost triple your 10mpg. |

3.05 just yesterday here just outside philly. Gas is expensive in Europe due to taxes levied on it which accounts for about 75% of the cost of it. From what i've heard the public transportation is excellent as opposed to many areas of the US where you practically need a car unless you live in a metro area. Thanks for this, GTTT -- I had no clue as to why the UK's prices were so high. |
