Topic: Falling in love | |

Is it possible to fall in love with someone you never met face to face? Someone that you have spent alot of time online with or on the phone? I have been talking to someone for quite a while and we haven't had the chance to meet but he told me that he's falling for me.

ONLINE....ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE !

I would say anything is possible. I think he can fall for what he thinks you are but you will not know for sure until you meet face to face and feel if there is any chemistry in person.

I think it's possible to be hugely infatuated, and that can be confused with love. I also think it's possible to actually fall in love, but whether it's real and lasting, only face to face and time will tell. Good luck to you.

maybe it's just me, i hope anyways cause i wouldnt wish it on anyone. but ive talked for several months with 3 different men from this site, and they have said things like i know you are scared cause i feel that way sometimes, etc. i'm just saying, use commom sence and know the rad flags when they fly up. i think anythings possible, just be careful, this is, after all, the world of internet.

You would be behooved to remember all the numerous and endless threads on this topic that always warn to beware seeing what you want to see and that not all people on the internet are who they appear to be. Be careful.
I think it is fantastic you have strong feelings.. but remember there is a safety in online relationships. There must be lots of reasons why you've been talking all this time (how long has it been) and never met. Take a long, hard look at those. The talking/chatting are the buildup... but the meeting face to face determines true chemistry. |

I don't have the same feelings as him. I am fond of him and I enjoy talking to him but I am not falling for him. I think when we meet and the chemistry is right I could see a more serious relationship but I am cautious.

I think when we meet and the chemistry is right I could see a more serious relationship but I am cautious. Some people's feelings grow faster than others. Maybe you would feel the same as he and maybe you wouldn't but the face to face meeting would be the only way to find out. Sure it is scary, the unknown always is, but sometimes a person has to take a chance in life if they want to find that special person. So go for it, meet him in person and if the chemistry is not there or will never be there, he certainly will not hate you for it. At least both of you will have made a new friend! |

I really don't know.
I don't think I could fall in "LOVE" with anybody over a computer and emails or even over the phone. I think I could like someone. But to me "LOVE" is more than a mere word to be uttered over a phone without actually meeting them face to face. That's just me though, I'm a little old fashioned, I guess? Happy New Year!! |

I have been talking to someone for quite a while and we haven't had the chance to meet but he told me that he's falling for me. ABSOLUTELY!!! I am engaged to my fiance whom I have never met face to face. There are some things you just KNOW. Kinda exciting. |

I think it's easy for some people to get attached to a fantasy, an illusion, a dream, fairly quickly.
Reality -- the face-to-face meeting -- is something else altogether. Takes it to a completely different level. I guess it depends on how you define "love." |
