feral... can you support this statement?

" The only disciple to see Jesus dead was a secret disciple by the name of Joseph of Arimathea, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus. And Pilate granted permission. Also came was Nicodemus. "

Only through scripture.....which I am not sure that creative uses as proof....

Well, I do question much...

with good reason...

It is accepted that John was completed somewhere around 110 to 120 A.D....

So then, how could it have been written by the John was is reported to have witnessed the crucifixion????

Not one of the author's of the gospels included in the Bible witnessed the crucifixion...

Can this be refuted?

You are defending the word of mouth of whomever chose to repeat the story at the time... it is not infallible, it maintains value none-the-less... very valuable in ways... life saving in ways... but people, get a grip... it is not infallible...

There are three books of John sweets........so you would have to know which book of John....Sorry sweets Since John's three epistles and Revelation were written after his gospel. the probable range is A.D. 60-90.....By this time John would of been one of the last surviving eyewitnesses of the Lord. According to tradition, John wrote this gospel in Ephesus.......

Try again Creative......good try but no good.

I promise you sweets.....you could debate me on any scripture and I will prove you wrong always......For the simple fact that the Lord leads me to do so........

You have proven nothing.

You have 4 gospels written by numerous authors, none of which witnessed the pivotal event in your religion...

Show me differently... I can show you...

Who witnessed the execution?????????????

show me what you think you know.....See this is where it's gets tricky....for me I have studied the gospels and according to what I have researched I find the Bible to be nothing but the inspired word of God.....But if you on the other hand don't believe that.....then it doesn't matter what I say or do.....it won't change your beliefs.......

If there is anywhere in scripture that names who was there put it up...

Show everybody...

Until then... no one saw it... yet four accounts of it... three of which are all slightly different from each other...

Mark IS the oldest writing... copied in part by the authors of Matthew and Luke...

John is completely different in so many ways... and has obviously been influenced by the gnostics... Research your own religion through an unbiased source... Geeez!

The disciples did not write the gospels... those are not my facts... they are THE facts...

Not one eyewitness account of the crucifixion in the Bible...

NOT one!

actually every account is exactly the same......

Matthew 28:55-56 And many women were there looking on from a distance, who had followed Jeus from Galilee, ministering to Him. Among whom was Mary Magdalene along with Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Mark 15:40-41 And there were also some women looking on from a distance among whim were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the Less and Joses, and Salome. And when He was in Galilee, they used to minister to Him; and there were many toerh women who had come up with Him to Jerusalem.

Luke 23:49 And all His acquaintances and the women ho accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, seeing these things.

So you show me any discrepancies.

You cannot... because your Bible does not...

Feral,

The bible does not name an apostle who witnessed the crucifixion...

Can we at least agree on this?

EDIT?:

You say: " So you show me any discrepancies"

I say>>>> NOPE no discreprancy there... none of those accounts name a disciple... fairly consistent...

Next.

Matthew 19: 26-31

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Now Jesus also called John the on whom he loved.

Then saith he to the disciple, (John)Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
