Topic: Gaze Upon Giza | |
---|---|
Furrowed inside of planes,
in sight of plain barren grains of khaki stained terrain... palm fronds sweep the dunes edge. From outcropped limestone ledge below Ra's photon blaze, arid eyes may gaze a lions body with a mans head. Pharaoh's mummy dead, no goatee wrapped with lace on Sphinx cobra hooded face, no trace of his broken nose. On the plateau rose the tablet Rosetta stone, a key to language clone dusty tales covered in mold. Khufu's cap of gold once atop his pyramid tomb, above polished granite rooms, it's said this pinnacle did perch. Egyptologist's still search sifting metric tons of sand, for millennia this land calls out to sky and man. |

Wow, amazing poem, Techno. I used to live/work in Giza (in Sheikh Zayed).
