Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful toward others. Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing. Respect doesn’t have to come naturally – it is something you learn.

When I said “earned” I meant over time and not finical wise. Heck that’s why my ex sister-in-law divorced my great brother, he wasn’t making enough in her opinion but to me my brother makes good money just like she does. Now she’s remarried to a loser man wise.

Well, just like putting limits. It helps us grown with the other, and love ourselves first. Maintains a good relationship for the long term
