Why some of the new entrants are of the view or preconceived idea that "anything goes" on this site? Many genuine entrants are harassed regularly with either lewd texts or being asked to follow other links, apps! Why this site? Why?

I might have an answer, the more us regulars interact with these cartoon characters, the more attention they get. Of course, there is a limit, like insulting me, or someone I like.

If these guys are getting one report after the next, they should intervene ... well, I hope they do Have noted the lack of response also after using the report feature... the rising level of the swamp is unmistakable...with at least one user challenging regulars to stop him...Fortunately there are regulars who don't just quietly accept this corrosion...count me in...

From 2020 I have had many communications with this "support group". Initially there would be responses, but with time, they stopped too! Now, I appreciate that there are too many mails pouring in and it's not always possible to address a single user! I also appreciate the changes brought about by this site, lately. Wot I fail to understand is, why is this a happy hunting ground for such scammers and abusers? Do we, as a site, portray a shady image of ourselves? Or, wot is it?

I put this up for discussion, here, with the sole aim of getting opinion from the ones who are regulars or even newbies on the forums. There is no intention of malice or targeting anyone among the "support" team.
