SHOCKING! Men over 50 want nothing to do with marriage anymore. Yet they still want sex.
Why would this be shocking/disappointing to anyone after the feminists/"modern" woman movement pretty much created this issue? Add to this the completely one-sided divorce laws favoring women in the event of a split. What's shocking is that some women are still shocked that most men won't take that one sided risk. |

My ex gf walked out after 19 years because I refused to buy and give her Liberal daughter that refuses to work a house. So I'm new here... but no one takes advantage of me.

It has been my experience for quite some time that men over 50, certainly men over 60, are targets of catfish by the bucketful. Yes, they think we are desperate. But actually, 99% of catfish are not just fake but men posing as women in Nigeria. I have talked with two of them who do it.
My block list is very long and grows by the dozen every day. Learn the signs and nip them in the bud. |

Not everyone thinks that marriage is a good idea. Marriage is a trap that prevent people who've changed to move on without a lot of legal and emotional trouble. Marriage is a custom that has outlived its usefulness. Marriage as it was originally was meant to give men power over their women, to "own" them as possessions. This thinking only holds now for religious nutcases. I have been married for a very long time and I've found myself totally trapped. Anything I do is screamed at by society as "immoral" or "wrong" or whatever. I can't just walk away and divorce is something that rips people apart. So what to do? These days many people do not get married but just live together. That is the way it should be. Religious views and religious "morality" are wrong. I don't care what religious people think but there are many who do and it brings them unspeakable emotional harm. Sure, I'm different and my views are different. But after observing people and lives for all these years, listening to men and women in miserable marriages, and trying to find a way to have friendship and companionship that evaporated here over a decade ago I see how marriage does no good and does much harm. Women are not objects, they're not sex toys, they're not subhuman or somehow less than men in any way. Women are and should always be equal to men. They should not be looked down upon or seen as possessions by a man they married. Honor? Yes. Obey? Absolutely not. Just a bit of food for thought. |
