Topic: He is loved | |
---|---|
When he was born into our family
He was my third nephew to me After her divorce Feelings seem to change course She remarried And these words seem to be carried To a boy who’s still young What to you has he done You’re a total disappointment he’s told I hope those words come back to you tenfold Stepfather you’re not even his true The mother just stands back and let’s it happen too And yet I can’t understand Why you love my niece so grand You both make this Auntie mad She wishes better parents he had Listen nephew and stand tall He’s not your real father at all My brother is and always will be Listen to him and be set free That you’re truly loved on the other side And in you we take great pride Don’t let his words bother you Look to us and we’ll see you through We want you to always stay strong Even when they do you wrong |

Thank you Robin! My youngest nephew is going through this very situation. It’s wrong for any child to be told “You’re a total disappointment. Strange how the stepfather loves my niece but not him and it seems and my ex sister-in-law does nothing to stop him from saying it. That’s why I wrote this poem and even though he may never read it I felt I should to all those who are going through the same situation.

Yes it is LadyWind. It’s not a good situation for my nephew to be in. No child should be in such a situation.

Yes it is LadyWind. It’s not a good situation for my nephew to be in. No child should be in such a situation. Any chance of offering to have him for holidays, even the odd weekend? They may appreciate the break and you can love him to bits.... |

No since he doesn’t live here and technically we don’t share custody of him, only my brother and ex sister-in-law. I think my brother tries to check on him more though.

Very powerful poem. I am sure your nephew can count on his father. I wish I knw his first name, to have him in my prayer list. We, most of us, have forgotten that we are one humanity and what affects one, affects us all.
I will send prayers your family's way. God Bless us all. From my heart to us all. |
