i completely understand, when i tried to start this business 2 years ago. i quit my job to stay home with the kid, she was suppossed to work, her idea not mine. she never got a job at all. we ran short on money s i started doing things on the side to make enough to cover rent. she made me stop because she didn;t want to watch the kid here and there. long story short we got evicted, i was flat broke, she walked out, i started doing odd jobs again, built up enough to start a business. in less then a year i went from a 40k a year job and supporting 3 people, to making over 300ka year and supporting 2. and now she's pissed because "i didn;t do this when it counted"

wonder who was keeping who down there?????

I wonder where ya'll got the idea that I think people who like to be alone are nothing?

This is the number one reason why I love forums... people are so easily offended and they always twist your words for a fight.

I meant that love is worth more than money. I stand by it.
I wouldn't trade my kids or my best friends for all the money or things in the world.
Sorry but I just can't see how money makes people THAT happy and fulfilled.

I keep finding men who do NOT share that philosophy.
It frustrates the hell out of me.

Why date anyone if all you want to remain a bachelor for life?
Is money that great if you aren't sharing it with other people?
Is anything all that fun if you are alone?

 Will YOU marry me,,,,,lolbigsmile
I feel and daily feel that even one hour alone is just nuts,
because THATS one hour THAT I could be SHARING a LIFE with another soul and EACH learning each others HEARTS!!!

sharing ourselves with others. it is the currency of life. that does not mean that i don't like cats & dogs or being alone.

I learned this the hard way -- I would rather be alone than be with the wrong person. Too many times, I found myself just as "alone" IN a relationship, as I was without one.

Well said!

<--------currently celebate hermit, but not a nothing either. Life IS worth living whether you have someone to share it with or not. This in response to your title of this thread. It was a statement, not a question, so no picking fightsflowerforyou

Guess it depends on how comfortable one is within their own skin, to have fun alone that is...I don't have a problem with it...if my friends aren't available (most are married) then I'll go to the movies alone, or a museum, or whatever..I guess it just depends on the individual..I have a friend that won't go ANYWHERE alone..the mall, the grocery store, sheesh, she'll call me to ask me to go grocery shopping with her...which I do, cuz she's a GREAT friend..the price one pays for friendship (ok, that was my attempt at humor)..flowerforyou

I hate being alone. One of the things I firmly believe in is family. It sucks when one is single and believes in family.

I dont think that these people "like" to be alone but are and have come to terms with it and if someone amazing came along then they would jump at the chance. But to say that life is not worth living unless you have another (spouse,bf/gf) sounds ludicrous to me......ridiculous actually!!!laugh laugh Soooooooooo ya I can go to the grocery store and mall and even to the gas station alone and Im ok with that!!!laugh I can even go into a restaurant and eat by myself if I so choose and I think nothing....ppl have to eat.....so unless you have absolutely no self esteem or self worth then I guess you will "need" to have someone walk you to the bathroom and help you with that toilet paper!!noway laugh noway

And yet we were made half of a whole by our Creator. It is this other half which I seek. That special someone to complete me and fulfill OUR needs together.

BTW just FYI Azrae1l not to degrade or belittle you but the last time I checked STUFF doesn't bring happiness... It is not something that you can buy at the Mall or at least I haven't ran across a box marked "Joy".

Call me crazy but I could be ecstatic with nothing more than enough to pay my bills and a good woman by my side. This is also why I am still alone, I was once married now divorced but that hasn't deterred me from the search.

fyi, not to belittle you or degrade you, being happy with ones success and manner in which they live does not mean they use "stuff" to make them happy. nor does that mean that the only way to be happy is to have a significant other.

to this i say, if you rely on others to make you happy you are indeed co-dependant. happiness comes from with in, not how another makes you feel about yourself.
