Ladies! Please put photos with your profiles! You have no chance of getting noticed without one. Attraction, like it or not, is the first thing that get's a person's attention. I was disappointed when searching for women in my area, that half of the profiles do not have a picture(s).

Welcome to the site!!! That being said, I have to disagree with you. I have been in a relationship with some one from this site for several months now and I never had a picture of me posted on this site. And before you think that it is just a online romance, we moved part of my stuff to his house 3 months ago as I spend half my time with him and half the time at home (4 hours away). He fell in love with me because of who I am, not what I look like. So before you dismiss the women without a photo posted as their main pic, you may want to rethink the whole I have to see the person to like them theory.

Well I do think it's a mix of both. Ella's situation is rare indeed. And I am thrilled for you Ella. But not all of the human race can go without the looks (as a connection) being an issue.

It's not about you being good looking or not, but more whether you connect at that level too.

With a photo or without a photo you can connect with someone. Some people prefer to keep their photos private, and then reveal them to a person when they are comfortable. It worked out well for Ella, and Newto. They found a love truly based on connection before he knew what she looked like.

I agree, i was on JSH for 6 months before I posted a photo, it should be about whats inside a person, not about what they look like!!!

First of all welcome to the site, with that said no I don't put a photo up for my main pic but yes they are in my profile all one has to do is click and look. Its sad but true we are visual people and ya I'm just as bad I want to see the person that I could get involved with. If only friends then it don't matter to me. Ella thanks for the welcome. I'm happy for you, that you met somebody on the site and I wish you the best. I agree that a relationship will not work unless you have something inside that's attractive, but that being said, it's not like we our meeting people at a bar, library,or at the park, where you have visual contact before you strike up conversation. We our online,so a picture with a profile helps. I think most online dating sites measure 10 to 20 times more replies with profiles that have pictures, so if it increases my odds of meeting someone, I'm all for it. To picture or not to picture is your choice, I was just putting my two cents in, that I think adding a picture to a profile will get more attention.
