I have to ask this question. Apparently this happens more often than not because I was just having a conversation with a women and she asked me if "I was the beat me up " type of guy. Obviously I'm not otherwise I wouldn't be asking this question.

I'd like to know if anyone has run across this type of situation before.

when I was younger, I met a woman that got off on it. she wanted me to hit her.. freaked me out.
I'm not talking a little slap and tickle, she wanted closed fist and blood.

guess theres some one for every one. but thats not for me.

WHEN WE GROW UP, AND LEAVE ARE CAREGIVERS THE RELATIONSHIPS WE SEEK

ARE FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINISHING CHILDHOOD AND HEALING THE WOUNDS

OF CHILDHOOD...WHEN THE PERSON HAS NOT BLOCKED OUT THE MEMORIES OF

THE CHILDHOOD TRAUMA'S AND YOU ABLE TO WORK WITH THEM THEN YOU CAN

GET A PICTURE WHY THEY PICK PEOPLE WHO WILL ABUSE THEM....THE TYPE

OF PEOPLE WE PICK WE ALREADY KNOW ON A EMOTIONAL LEVEL...BECAUSE WE

STAY WITHIN OUR AWARENESS.....LIKE ''WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE DO NOT

KNOW'' OUR SELF ESTEEM, AND ESTEEM WE HAVE FOR OTHERS CONTROLS OUR

LIFE SCRIPT.....ITS IS SO IMPORTANT THAT THE FIRST PERSON WE REALLY

NEED TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH IS OURSELVES.....

ALL THIS INFO IS WELL KNOWN TO OUR THE MENTAL HEALTH

COMMUNITY.....

what is the question?...Assaults happen everyday where the perpetrator/victim are the same gender (male/male and female/female) or not (male/female and female/male)...that should come as no surprise...so what is the question?

Apparently this women likes it so rough that she wanted to know if I would physically beat her. We've all heard of liking it a little rough but what's she's asking goes beyond that.

I told just let her down easy and moved on.

I could be wrong but it sounds like you were being asked to enter the world of S&M and/or B&D where the term assault is not applicable, and pain/pleasure are inseparably intertwined...it is not everyone's cup of tea but it indeed exists...

That crossed my mind actually but that term wasn't used. Needless to say that scene is not for me. I was raised to be respectful twords women not beat them up.

I can only think that someone asking that question has a good reason, it's not something anyone would ask in a normal conversation. Maybe it is a sexually motivated question that has has been suggested, but in my opinion, more likely a question coming from someone thet has suffered physical abuse in previous relationship. My reply to them would have been "Why do you ask?", it certainly seems strange without knowing the context leading to the question being asked, it's not a common question heard in general conversation.
