Sometimes it's not your actions that touch the heart so deep
Sometimes it not the touch that's caused a heart to weep
Sometimes it's the tears caused by wanton greed
You never saw the flames, inside, causing someone's heart to bleed

Haunted by a kiss, tormented in the soul
You never gave to thought
Seeds you might have sown

Never saw the heart
Too deep in your own thought
Never gave your love
And left someone in the dark

You couldn't quench the thirst that dried what you called love
You couldn't stop the fade and could never get enough
You strolled on through emotions, just kept on pushing through
Left within your wake and you became something different... something new

Haunted by a love, you never felt it's depth
You suffered there in silence and sighed with heavy breath
Scared by your own emotion, it scarred you to the core
Leaving you alone, wanting something more

I'm haunted by the kiss, because you could never see
You never felt the care and the passion that once could be
Haunted by the kiss, because you were never free
You never gave your love because what you feared was me.
