i took her, walked to that building where "Almond Family" is staying at. when i put the baby on the garden wall, she got relaxed and started stretching because she was back at her place. then i called almond and she came. i put the baby down on the ground, she started rubbing on her mother and playing with her. my duty was done. i walked back home with my shoppings :)

every each day i either find a cat in need of eye treatment, or lost or without water to give fresh water, or injured one to cure. i believe the reason i am born is to help cats. i seriously believe this. or this is selective perception .. either way i love this life full of cats

yesterday me, Malc and mum went shopping, but before that we went to our favourite restaurant for lunch, by the seafront. it was lovely being out with my family. the food there was delicious as always. at the supermarket i was able to find my favorite beer which is nearly impossible to find as it is limited edition. it was a good day full of my fav things yesterday :)

it is eid qurban today and i dont like it
i am not vegetarian but i dont like it when people cut them themselves
i dont, cant trust them
industrial cutting is something else, but i worry so much when people do it.
i am trying not to think about it..

again yesterday, i squeezed one of the black baby cats and kissed her so much
and she scratched me.
then i tried giving internal parasite pill to the white cat "spotty"
he scratched me as well
both were just reflex
i deserved them

Still having weather issues today in nz but set to clear over the weekend .

Baby Toa is doing exceptionally well and continues to gain national and international interest . Unfortunately some of that interest (from animal welfare experts) has been less than supportive , questioning the ethics of the rescue and continuing efforts to sustain Toa. Thankfully our whale exoert is standing strongly against suggestions for ethunasia .. saying we don’t euthanise healthy animals .
Toa is indeed thriving . He continues to feed well (he looks to me like he is putting on weight ) , his wounds are healing, his range of movement in the water looks amazement and he is frisky and interactive . He continues to have carers in the pool with him 24/7 giving him so much love and support . It is beautiful to see his response

And have to share this WETA in conjunction with Ingrid Visser and vets caring for Toa have developed a prosthetic teat for feeding Toa , shaped so that he is able to naturally wrap his tongue around it and feed underwater (like he would do with his mum) it is the first of its kind .. way to go kiwis

The animal welfare groups advocating euthanasia have not even seen Toa , nor do they have the experience and knowledge that Ingrid has . She is a strong woman with a very supportive team and I have no doubts she will do what is best for Toa , and his best chance of being reunited with mum lies with her . Regardless of what negative minorities have to say , Toa is healthy , supported physically and emotionally and is loved . He has overwhelming support around New Zealand
Search for mum continues ... even though aerial searches have not currently been possible ... Teams of people in Wellington have been scouring coastlines with binoculars hoping to site orca pods . I had hoped to post a link to show you what a massive mission it is ( and share just how beautiful our oceans are ) but the site has been made private for now . Hope and love is stronger than any negativity .
