Mowing the part of the lawn I hadn't done last time. Just in time. Only just!
And I was right: it IS too stinking hot to mow the lawn, but it has to be done. Getting there!!

I would've been okay had I stopped after the lawn. But I overdid it with cutting / pruning bramble branches and stuff. Not physically taxing really, but it is when in the full sun.
Even my hair is wet, I just saw a small bead of sweat dropping from a thin lock :o
Back of my head hurts... I did too much, typical me.

Fan is on for a bit, cooling down.
But at least I done some work. Not doing anything anymore now, haha.

Having a lot of trouble understanding this episode of Beyond Reason. It's set in Atlanta and the southern accent is horrible and almost beyond comprehension.

I checked out a new indoor flea market today.
I picked up two big boxes of DVDs and BlueRays for $25 each.
Lots of old movies in high def!
There were 114 movies and I've checked about 90 so far.
Already started ripping them to mp4 high def.
Gunna take some time!
After I'm done, I will be donating the discs to my local library (well, the ones my kids & gf don't want).
Feels almost like Christmas!

Well, the first batch of family visiting is over.
I miss them already (they left this morning).
The other batch leaves home tonight and will be here in the early morning.

I'm already tuckered out!
But, I'm planning to do it all again with gusto.

The sleeping arrangemnts are going to be a bit different this time.
Some of the kids will be backyard camping at my son's house for a few days to spend time with their cousins.

The most difficult thing was finding horizontal surfaces for everyone to eat.
I wasn't able to pick up the melamine to extend my table because of the rain.
The rain quit but we just made due.
I got three hours sleep last night so I am not able to go buy it and cut it today.
Guess I'll include a tour of the lumber store after they get here, lol.
This time, more kids, younger, staying three extra days.

The popcorn shop was a big hit.

The night swims on the beach were a big hit (the go to rivers and lakes).
The 100 degree heat and humidity was bad for them because they are not acclimated.
My electric usage went from $3 per day to $5 per day.

My son told me he is planning a surprise renewing of his vows when they get to the campsite. Planning a romantic night on the beach.

My son on his way tonight turns 34 on the 29th and my son who lives around here turns 33 on the 28th. There's going to be a big birthday bash on the beach including my 60th last weekend.

I have more grocery shopping to do.
Gotta go to the bank.

Did I tell you I'm tuckered out already [giggle].

My gf is loving the interactions of a big family.
She went home to take her mom to the Dr and make sure they have what they need.
She will be back tonight. Everyone loved her and she had loads of fun.
She's looking forward to meeting my other son's family.

Its funny, my oldest son who just left is exactly like me with his family (stern and direct but loving).
My son coming is like me in attitude (always cheerful and likes to laugh).
He said he is 'excited' to learn some 'new material' from me.
He's already a very funny guy.

Oh, I taped some index cards to the doors as signs for everybody.
I wrote "SIGN" on each card. They all loved the 'SIGNs' I put up.

I also put a "P" on an index card and put it in a zip-lock bag then taped it inside my fridge. I told them all I keep a bag of "P" in my fridge and don't touch it because sometimes it leaks. Then I taped a napkin on the shelf, under that 'bag of P' and wrote a bunch of lil 'p's on it.
They loved it. LOL
My other son will probably have "SIGN"s posted in his house when he gets home and even a 'bag of P' in his fridge. He copies me.

Time for lunch and a nap (if possible).

Have a glass of Brown Brothers!!! Did my grass yesterday & it was about 100 degrees so I feel your pain.

Making my home liveable again after the last renovation stuff indoors yesterday.
And the painter threw my old desk chair in their large garbage container so FINALLY I'm rid of that thing!! I rearranged some things in the extension -possible with the desk chair gone- and now it's wonderfully spacious!!
The best it's been in years!
