Does anyone else like doing this kind of art work?

My mom used to do that.
She also did that painting embroidery (not sure what its actually called).
She did some really beautiful doilies and table scarfs.
Her paints had lil steel balls at the tips and she clamped the fabric into a round form.
A friend of mine in the service did uniform patches and make decent money on the custom patches he made.
I still have a uniform with his patches on it.
I also had a cruise jacket he did many of the patches and custom lettering for.
I never had the patience but it is a creative form of artistic expression.
Thanx for the fond memories.

Embroidery by hand ( not machine embroidered) I consider almost an obsolete art at least here in the USA. I still embroider and have been embroidering quilt blocks for the last 6 years lol I am almost finished , it's been one of them projects that I start.stop.start . But my sister who makes quilts embroiders and she made me a embroidered quilt last year, it's very pretty.

I started it back up. It is a simple design, but something to do to alleviate the boredom of the pandemic.

I used to enjoy embroidery, but my carpal tunnel is so bad now I can't do it anymore.
