Holiday's aren't bad

Together forever that is what you did say
Yet i sit her alone on this Christmas day
But am i hurt sad or even a little blue
No cause alone is so much better than you
Yes we have two great kids that i raise
And yet you take them on every holiday
An i mad upset or pissed oh my no
I get a life with them that you'll never know
You get the holidays okay but i get the rest
and holding them everyday is what i like best
Expensive gifts you buy but still they wont stay
It can't replace what i give them every other day
Your gifts they accept but you money won't take
because you money a mommy will never make
I'm their daddy and sometimes mommy too
which leaves mother as their title for you
maybe someday you will understand what i mean
until then you can have the holidays in between
I'll take the rest and just keep being a dad
and you can stay mother lonely and sad
A few lonely days without them each year
I'll take that to keep my babies right here.

and i encourage any single mothers out there to simply rearrange some of this poem and send it to the dead beat father's out there which out number dead beat mothers thousands to one.

i wouldnt know about that you see im raising my son and his mother hasnt sent a dime nor a birthday or christmas present for the last year so i guess i got the one out of the thousands ..lucky me (sarcasm)

Thank You for that poem, it touched my heart deeply. I am raising four boys on my own and going to college full time. The boys have not seen their father in over 5yrs, not a card not anything. They know that they will always have a MOMMA they can count on. I respect any single parent raising children, for it is not an easy task.

I would love to send that poem to my 2 oldest boys dad but i haven't seen him in over 12 years. 12 years ago yesterday was the last time he saw his 2 kids(my 12 year old was only 4 days old still in the hospital). It's a wonderful poem ace..please keep it up.

Awesome one Ace, I do admire the single fathers that raise there kids it is harder for the men than it is for the women to do so. Yeah I raised mine alone for 16 years and would do it all over again in a heart beat.
