I understand there's like a zillion different forms of online chat but why in the hell do Mingle users I wanna chat with get weirded the hell out when you tell them since you're already communicating on Mingle that's where you wanna get to know them not on Google chat or anywhere else? I mean Mingle chat is useable after all

That is a red flag and 99% will be fake if they say that right away. If you tell them lets get to know each other a little here, that is the last you will hear from a scammer. Or they repeat the demand to give your email or phone, etc

Yes, its almost certain they are fakes, flakes or most likely, data harvesting scammers. To find any real one you have to write to them first and out of 20 you send out you might get a few legit replies. A few legit ones will write you first but normally you have to write them unless you want to wait all year for one or two.

Another common scam is they want to date you and really really like you but they want you to "verify" yourself with another site so they can be sure you are safe. That will always be a scam.

Your theory is flawed .. i frequently wear my hair in a ponytail . If a man said that to me . I would tell him my pony tail is laced with poison ivy

Wheelie .. If anyone is not happy to chat with you on mingle or is more interested in getting your contact info .. Be ruthless and block ., don’t feel any obligation to explain .

It is easy to become frustrated but focus on what you enjoy about the site .

kinda reverted back to a classic....pics or gtfo. oh you want my email for hangouts...oh you want me to text you to prove I'm real...oh you want me to email you with a specific subject line...pics or gtfo. its childish, but they either dont respond or delete the chat

There's hardly ever a reason to block. Delete tends to be enough. Only if someone keeps hassling me I block. Deleting is faster :)

I'm old and stubborn LOL Blocking just seemed easier
