So I've had my account for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be catnip for scammers but is not doing anything for the sorts of people I'd like to attract. Am I just too niche in my requirements?

I'd appreciate any constructive feedback folks would be willing to give as to how I can put my best foot forward and maybe attract some real people. Thanks in advance.

Get a decent profile picture that shows your face and preferably smile. I think the 3rd one was good.
DELETE all photos with other men. No one knows who's you. And what if they like the other better? Never handy.
Men pouting their lips is not particularly attractive either.

Your write up is way too short. Also get rid of "I cannot see likes" as everyone can. It's a free site and you have no limitations.

Write a bit about what kind of woman you're interesting in and hope to meet. And what you hope to do together. Is it only sex or also go places etc.
Do you want more than one and so on.
Be clear.

a few observations...

1 - separated means "still married" and many won't touch you with a 10 feet pole
2 - first item in "looking for" area is seeking an intimate encounter (sex)...together with item 1 above, it means to many - "married guy seeking sex on the side"
3 - children living at home may be a deal breaker for some
4 - Suggest you stop waiting at the bus stop for a bunch of women to come to you...use the free search engine to find you own pool of potential matches....

I feel you now have a real good chance of getting to know a woman / women.

As for the scammers... bear in mind that on a large international & free site there will always be scammers. Don't let that deter you.
There are people that have found a great match here, you just got to learn to ignore scammers.
If need be set up email preferences. Distance or age can be handy, depending on what scammers you get the most.

I instituted controls on my email. I think I've gotten 1 email in the past 4 days since I made the change, lol. The search is ongoing!

I would get rid of the looking for intimate encounter part. The reason being you are separated and that may be looked upon as still being married but looking for action on the side.

Have no real problems with the profile but the one's who have contacted me are phony men posing as women. So Many send the porn star pics and claim to be them others use the pig slang and I know there not real, male impersonating a woman again. This site is so full of scams and fake profiles, or maybe computer robots ??

then when you see them say Texas of Dallas you know its fake or reply from State then USA another dead give away .. still waiting on a real people unless I have to up grade but can see myself doing that when I see so damn many phony profiles
