I haven’t heard that sentence but I think it can be true in life. I’m sure we all have friends in our life that are unique because I know I do.

I didn't know it. To me it reads that this person is now unique because you know him, in the sense that you made them unique.
Quite arrogant.
If it was supposed to mean something else I feel it could've been better phrased than this.

This book, originally intended for children, quickly won the hearts of adult readers around the world. But it is the child's sensitivity that is most important here, and her survival in the world of serious and mature people seems even more important.

Is about friendship, love and closeness, trust, responsibility for another person, loneliness, happiness, suffering, dreams, and children's fantasies.
With the message to adult with these sentences like about friendship with fox πŸ₯°

"For the whole world, you can be nobody, for somebody you can be the whole world"

It is about feelings which we have for someone for us special and unique, in a special friendship which is unique and not usually.

It is only my opinion.

Thank you so much for your view on this sentence. :relaxed:

I read the book 35 years ago in school. The french original.

To me there is another meaning behind it, we might have a friend or a partner, who only stands out for us. But others might not notice him, or even dislike him.

As always, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

English is compusory in German schools from the 5th class on. From the 8th class on, you can pick a second foreign language, and I picked French.

Always intersted in foreign languages, I also know some basics in Italian, Spanish and Polish

Hi Larsi666,

You are lucky man. I love foreigner languages, unfortunately when I was in primary school in Poland only Polish and basic Russian was compursory. Now in primary school is basic English on very low level. Of course you can learn foreign languages in paid courses. The Spanish and English are very often use on the world, if you see if course on the all our globe :earth_americas:

You are right, the words in Polish have a difficult letters.
For another person it is so nice when you can talk in his or her native language. Another point of it, is that if you travel for example, you can speak in language of this country which you visit. I think that if you know foreign languages it is a treasure for you. πŸ₯°

For me the old Polish cuisine is not healthy because is very hard to digest, I love the Italian foods especially when the fruits and vegetables growing up with the sun, like in all mediterranean countries, I think that the taste is so different.
You are right the languages this both of countries are difficult. I don't have a pleasure taste a German cuisine but I'd love to. I would like to see these beautiful and amazing castles in Germany, which I know that this country is famous. :relaxed:

I agree with you, I remember when I was maybe 13 and I was with my mom in Zakopane on the Christmas, I remember taste and flavor of "bigos".
What is in your opinion the most delicious dish in Germany which I can try.
And place or city which you can recommend to visit in Germany?

My favourite dish would be roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage drool

I am from the Sauerland region, it is near Dortmund, where I also lived. Beautiful landscapes in the Sauerland and Dortmund has the nicest people in Germany.

I would also recommend Dresden for culture, Nuremberg for the Christmas Market or Hamburg. The Fish Market every Saturday morning is a must see. They sell directly from the trawlers, like auctions
