I've decided to go to the chip shop. Fries special and 2 frikandellen special. YAM!!! Iām Gonna go to chip shop too What is frikandellen Crystal ? Hi Moomin! Got this from the net, easiest translation. And indeed a sort of minced meat, but it's very very fine, so much so you can't tell it's minced anymore. A frikandel is a traditional snack originating from the historical Low Countries, a sort of minced-meat hot dog, of which the modern version was developed after World War II. The history of this snack in the Spanish Netherlands goes back to the 17th century. I think the most eaten snack in The Netherlands with fries. This is what it looks like when deep fried.... and this is a frikandel special, meaning mayonaise, curry or ketchup, chopped onion |
