Soft the light that falls blessed upon your face from that compass moon

I wonder does it caress your cheek with its silver tingly touch
See the day is over and the night draws its dark silken sheet over the sky

You look out your window tonight - you are so far - so far where are you are am I
In dreams is there a smile the clasp of a hand on mine a taste of lips that press

Still silent in the sky tonight still empty the hand and fallen the heart
Dreams lost on your lips lost like silent words still to be said or never to part
