I browse alot and write simple messages to start conversation. But it seems like 4 every 20 messages i write i get one response. I get more mail on myspace and i dont even log on there ever. Any1 have any suggestions.

Norm for dating sites. Don't take it personal. It also depends on the number of people on each dating site. Some sites just have very little members in certain areas. :D

It could be the way you word your email that no one will respond back to you. I my self will reply and even if its with a not intrested but Thanks Awyway.

i would guess if people are interested, available (believe it or not, some arent), arent busy doing something else, they will reply.

I write back..my problem is getting people to write me that want more than just s*x..lol

Wish I could tell you something, but if you're getting 1 out of 20, you're doing way better than I did back in the days when I was sending first e-mails.

I finally gave up and just let them write to me. And they do. But you have to be here awhile and establish yourself in the forums. Once people get to know you that way, they'll start writing. I get tons of e-mail here and I NEVER write to anyone first.

Kind of sad it has to be that way, but that's just how it worked out....!

Welcome. I don't like getting cold messages (cold means someone I have never seen on the forums) but I will answer them. I prefer messages from people I have seen on the forums, they feel more known to me. Just giving you a little insight. I have heard this complaint on here alot. I do answer mine. I may not respond the way they hoped but I do answer. Good luck in your search.

i got tired of that also, i even deleted my pic and hardly come on here anymore. not looking for sex either.

I don't write first either..I use to until I saw I was getting either no response or rudeness back..so I just stopped..and now I just mostly talk in the forums.

I try to respond to everyone. That is a common courtesy.
May not be able to mix into everyones life...but I can at least respond. Those who do not are looking for something more than they say. Exclusionary Subjectivity in online communcations. LOL. Not the most humanistic approach en if they choose that, that is not the kind of person I want to talk with anyway. LOL....

I do. I guess its just me.... to return a greeting even if I am not looking for a relationship. But usually I will answer all my message due to the fact I love to talk

Hey Biggi, alot depends on them but alot depends on what YOUR words are to them.
Some want a paragragh, before they THINK your REALLY looking and NOT a PLAYER...
And SOME will answer you back at a simple hello.

But BE YOU MAN,,, and BE REAL,,and you SHOULD get feed back from most that YOU right.....GOOD LUCK!!!!

I've been doing this for about nine months, and I can definetley relate. I'm about one for twenty too. The only thing that bothers me is that it just seems rude to not respond at all. I personally respond to everybody. Not everyone feels that way.
Just approach it as your odds being one in twenty, and don't check the sites every twenty minutes the way I did when I was newly single and desperate.
