An Englishman a German and an Irishman are working in Saudi Arabia when they are caught drinking alcohol.

As it is such a serious offence they are sentenced to 50 lashes of the whip.

Seeing as it's the princes birthday he grants them each 1 wish before they get whipped.

The German goes first, he wishes for a pillow to be strapped to his back, the first couple of lashes tear the pillow to shreds and his back ends up in a bad way.

Seeing this the Englishman wishes for 2 pillows to be strapped to his back, and again after a few lashes the pillow is torn to shreds and his back also ends up in a bad way.

Then comes the Irishman's turn.. And the prince says to him, "Seeing as it's my birthday and you come from the most beautiful country in the world I will grant you 2 wishes."

So after witnessing what happened to his drinking companions, he first wishes for 100 lashes.

The prince looks at him in amazement and says " And your second wish?"

The Irish man replies "I'll have the Englishman strapped to my back.
