Ok, I know this is a dating website and I have complete respect for people who are seeking to get to know people and find their better half. But are any of you getting random ims from people for the first time...talking to them for about 5 minutues and then having them try and pressure you to get involved in a long distance relationship with them or fly out to wherever they live so they can "take care" of you? I'm relatively new to this site and I've been getting a lot of those ims, which I find weird because my profile states that I'm looking for friendship. However, even if I were looking for a relationship, I'd at least want to get to talking with someone for a good amount of time and then meeting them before commiting to anything. So I find it weird that these people are wanting to "settle down" right away with me, after talking for 5 minutes. Is that how this online dating stuff works? What are your thoughts? men dont understand foreplay silly men

I've had this happen on several occasions from different guys...I ignore them and eventually they stop..it is kinda creepy..

yea that happens a lot some 50 year old guy wanted me to go live with him so bad that he told me hed legit pay me 20,000 dollars some people are just downright weird That's disgusting. You're only 18 and thats totally trying to solicit you for prostitution. I haven't had that yet, but guys have told me they have more than enough money to "take care" of me if I live with them. This is why I only talk to guys who are going through sh*t and are just ordinary guys with ordinary issues "no drama" just life and job issues. I love when a man can say "Baby I would love to come see you but I can't afford it right now!" That is sooooooo sexy and what is even more sexy is when they don't ask me for any money. OMG Makes me want to snatch them up and make them my pets!!

my first instinct as an asian was to see if there were any technical issues that led to your dilema, and i found one. it seems as though u set ur settings so that u can only use the IM function on this site with people on your friends list. |

This is why I hate being a guy on a dating website. It automatically means that you're fighting to prove that you're not like the majority of the rest of the guys on these sites who can be creeps and just flat out weirdos. But I've learned to just give up on fighting the notion and now I just believe that if you're truly a good person, it will come through. Sadly, there are enough girls out there who are gullible and can be seduced by these creeps. Otherwise, they wouldn't continue trying.
