“Just Talking”


I looked up and you were there.
You seem to have that certain flair.
Words came across the screen.
They were so sweet and serene.
Never did it cross my mind.
Have I really been that blind?
That I did not even see.
Of what could really be.
Your words so carefully picked.
You make sure not to inflict.
The words you say.
And the way you portray.
You are not like most.
Some seem to talk and boast.
Instead you seem quiet and reserved.
I sat back and just observed.
At the words you spoke.
As I sat back and drank my coke.
Not once did you get out of line.
Don’t get me wrong for that was fine.
It is nice to just talk.
And not having someone gawk.
But instead they really listen to what you say.
And don’t leave you in dismay.
Just to start out as a friend.
One you can count on in the end.
